The Regional Airline Association (RAA) provides a unified voice of advocacy for North American regional airlines aimed at promoting a safe, reliable, and robust regional airline industry. The RAA serves as an important support network connecting regional airlines, industry business partners, and government regulators in bolstering the industry; as well as promoting regional airline interests in a changing business and policy environment.
Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Washington, DC, the RAA has 26 member airlines and over 100 associate members. Regional airlines connect communities large and small to the global economy by providing scheduled, commercial air service to every U.S. state. Regional airlines operate 46 percent of our nation’s flights and serve 607 airports. At 393 U.S. airports, regional airlines provide the only source of scheduled, commercial air service.
