RAA Announces New Communications Director

Washington, D.C. — The Regional Airline Association, the industry trade association representing North American regional airlines, today announced the appointment of Aaron Karp as Communications Director. Before joining RAA, Karp spent nearly 20 years as an aviation journalist with some of the leading publications covering the airline and aircraft manufacturing industries, including Flight International , Air Transport World and Aviation Week . Most recently, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Aviation Daily . He is known for incisive reporting and writing about a broad range of issues in commercial aviation, and the regional airline industry has long been a key focus of his. Karp joins RAA with an in-depth understanding of the issues facing regional airlines.

Aaron is a gifted writer with a proven ability to create compelling content and has already shared ideas for elevating RAA’s communications and orienting it more strongly to our mission and strategic objectives.”   

Karp began his career covering Congress and the Clinton Administration for the Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Jack Anderson and holds a bachelor of arts degree in English literature from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
